Black Bean Hummus

Quick and easy to make black bean dip will delight every one for an appetizer, snack or a side dish.

Instructions
  1. Drain and rinse organic black beans.
  2. Put rinsed beans into a food processor.
  3. Add olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, a little water and blend.
  4. Add more water to desired consistency.
  5. Add sea salt and pepper toward end of mixing.
    If this recipe is too bland for you or you want to spice it up you can add: onion, basil, spices, red pepper, or sun-dried tomato.
    This goes great with rice crackers or spread on rice cakes.

    I made this on Tuesday night and it was outstanding! I did switch the 2 tbsps. of light mayo for 2 tbsps. of Hellman’s low fat mayo and it cut the calories to 279 and the fat to 6.9. Enjoyed this recipe so much! Thank you!!

      Thanks for the feedback Herberto. I always suggest using healthy fats. Not sure of the ingredients list for the mayo you used but low fat anything usually has something “fake” to make it taste better. You could try making your own mayo with an egg and extra virgin olive oil.
